HavaStartup is a new business plan competition in Lake Havasu City and we recognize that our contestants need support to generate their business ideas, build teams and receive guidance. There will be an entrepreneurship and information session at ASU@Lake Havasu with a group of experts to assist you.
Experts may include but are not limited to funding agencies and organizations, founders and owners of local businesses; industry experts and executives; impact investing specialists; venture philanthropists; capacity-building organizations; social entrepreneurs; ASU faculty and staff; and local business associations through the Chamber of Commerce.
After the registration period is over, teams for the second stage of the competition will be selected. These team entries will be paired with mentors, professionals with a variety of backgrounds and expertise who will evaluate the feasibility and viability of the proposed business idea. Mentors will be assigned based on the nature of submitted proposals.
The mentors will provide feedback to participants to further develop business models and the final business plan proposal.
Participants are encouraged to make good use of the mentoring process to assist with crafting a fine-tuned business plan proposal.
